Kitov.ai is pleased to introduce its K-BOX line of cost-effective machine vision systems during The Quality Show, Booth 812, October 24–26, in Rosemont, IL. Kitov.ai’s K-BOX offers the same functionality as the tried-and-true CORE+ solution. However, instead of shipping with an industrial robot, K-BOX offers APIs that connect Kitov software to virtually any standard or collaborative robot on the market, allowing customers to add advanced visual inspection capabilities to their existing robotic solutions. Customers have the choice of choosing the brand and size of the robot according to their needs.

During The Quality Show at Booth 812 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Kitov will have live demonstrations of its K-BOX unit with a UR robot inspecting an electric vehicle PowerBoost system and the CORE+ inspection system performing quality checks on a turbine jet engine fan blade.
The Kitov K-BOX unit is a ready-to-use visual inspection controller and optical head that can be easily connected to virtually any robot unit. The K-BOX enables machine vision and automation integrators to quickly implement a variety of inspection solutions that can adjust to different size objects and/or speed requirements. K-BOX works equally well with traditional industrial robots or collaborative robots (cobots). The K-BOX comes with Kitov software that includes automated lighting control, AI, 2D/3D imaging, and intelligent robotic planning. Kitov’s CAD2SCAN capability makes it easy to set a new inspection plan from either CAD files or 3D object scans.
The Kitov CORE+ system is a ready-to-use visual inspection solution that combines traditional machine vision techniques, including automated lighting control, deep learning, 2D/3D imaging, and intelligent robotic planning. The system comes with a high-speed, 6 degrees of freedom robotic arm and a rotating table to increase inspection and speed reach. The system inspects parts up to 800 mm in diameter, 400 mm height, and 40 Kg in weight. It comes with Kitov CAD2SCAN software, which makes it easy to set a new inspection plan from either CAD files or 3D scans. With the power of artificial intelligence/deep learning (AI/DL) to detect manufacturing defects, CORE+ enhances traditional 2D/3D machine vision solutions.
